Overland Expo – Jsport Is Trending
It is an exciting time at Jsport Performance! By now we hope you have seen our most recent project with the Honda Passport, but if you haven’t, you can read about it in all of the major publications from Hondanews.com to autoblog.com!
Here is a list of just some of our favorites:
We had a blast working in conjunction with Honda to maximize the potential of the new Honda Passport for an outdoor adventure overlanding application. We were able to put together a whole suite of brand-new products for this build and it was not an easy task keeping them a secret, but now that the cat is out of the bag we can’t stop talking about it!
This was our first time that we were able to attend Overland Expo West and we must say, we were completely blown away by the show and couldn’t believe we had held out this long. Having attended a wide variety of expositions and trade shows, we thought we knew what we were getting into, but Overland Expo is in a league of its own. There was a tremendous level of enthusiasm for the hobby unlike anything we had ever seen before. Overlanding, camping and outdoor adventure is really gaining some speed in the auto industry, while more and more enthusiasts are latching on to the hobby every year. One of the best parts about the show was that although some of the dedicated “overlanding” rigs can cost into the millions, there are many enthusiasts out there that are able to get creative and build vehicles unique to their environment and preferences for just a few thousand dollars.
We are beyond excited to have the opportunity to design and manufacture products for new Honda vehicles that make it possible for enthusiasts to get out and enjoy the outdoors with their Honda. After spending a few days camping in roof-top tents on top of Passports, Ridgelines, and Pilots (with a few well-placed accessories) added a whole new layer of “cool” to the traditional tent camping that you or I would be accustomed to. It was an awesome experience to prove first hand just how capable Honda’s trucks and SUVs are, and we are far from finished.
